Breakout Session 3 (1:55)
TBD
Art helps us express the inexpressible, to tell the stories we’re not yet ready to say out loud, and to give shape, literally, to the things we are still processing. In this session, participants will learn how information and experiences are processed through and stuck in the brain. They will then engage in a creative process that mimics brain movement by handling different artistic materials and engaging in creative opportunities. Participants will leave the session with several artistic options for helping students move stuck thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Objectives: 1. Participants will learn how information and experiences are processed through the brain and how creative practices can be used to support this process. 2. Participants will actively engage in creative expression practices and reflect upon the ways that art can serve as a vehicle for somatic regulation and expression. 3. Participants will explore how these practices can deepen clinical impact in their bryt spaces.
