Supporting Multisystem Involved Youth

Early Learnings from the COMPASS Intervention

This session will provide participants with an overview of the COMPASS pilot model out of Framingham High School, contextual data related to the experiences and outcomes for students in foster care across the state of Massachusetts and an understanding of the differences between COMPASS and the traditional bryt Model. Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to describe the distinct differences between the traditional bryt model and COMPASS. 2. Participants will understand the unique factors and barriers that impact key areas of progress for students in foster care. 3. Participants will identify key areas of reflection for their individual schools/ district related to how students in foster care are identified and supported.
